Aromatherapy
The power of plants has been used for thousands of years in China, India and the Mediterranean. This power can be harnessed in the form of essential oils. An essential oil consists of plant-juice concentrates from flowers, blades, barks, seeds and fruits, etc. that are obtained through distillation or pressing.
Essential oils are rich in active substances. They contain complex and living molecules that vary from oil to oil. Each essential oil has a unique constitution and set of qualities. The oils are 10 to 10,000 times more concentrated and effective than in their original plant-form. Essential oils really are a form of nature’s living energy!
Essential oils are recovered from nature, but this doesn’t mean that they are harmless and don’t require careful handling. As a certified aromatherapist, I can give you expert advice about essential oils and how to use them in the safest and most effective way. With the right essential oils, it is possible to alleviate – and even eliminate – sickness and disease.
Why use essential oils?
- Essential oils are an excellent compliment to shiatsu and energy-based reflexology.
- They alleviate symptoms but can also increase energy flow in the body.
- They stimulate and support internal system function.
- They function on both a psychological and a physical level.
Aromatherapy is a wonderful world where the five senses are awakened!
Aromatherapy and information about it should never be used to replace a doctor’s visit.
